Custom Domain

What is a custom domain?

A custom domain is your own website address, such as yourbrand.com, yourchurch.org, or yourcompany.net.

Without a custom domain yourname.cyvento-site.com

This looks less professional and does not fully represent your brand.

Before Setup

What you need before connecting a domain.

These details help us guide you correctly and reduce delays during onboarding.

01

A domain name

This can be a domain you already own or a domain you plan to buy before your blog goes live.

02

Access to your domain provider

You may need access to your provider account, such as Namecheap, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Hostinger, Bluehost, or another registrar.

03

Your blog details

Your blog name, admin email, logo if available, and basic information about what you want to publish.

04

Your selected plan

Domain setup begins after your Cyvento plan, payment, and setup request are confirmed.

Setup Process

How domain setup works.

The exact DNS instructions may vary depending on your domain provider, but the process usually follows these steps.

1

Choose a plan

Select the Cyvento plan that fits your blog, business, church, ministry, or organization.

2

Submit your domain

Provide your domain name during the setup request or onboarding process.

3

Update DNS records

We provide the required DNS instructions, such as an A record or CNAME record, depending on your setup.

4

Go live securely

After the domain points correctly, SSL/HTTPS is configured so your blog can load securely.

DNS & SSL

DNS changes can take time.

After DNS records are updated, changes may take time to reflect globally. This is normal and depends on your domain provider and DNS propagation. Once your domain points correctly, SSL/HTTPS can be configured for secure access.

A Record May be used to point your root domain to the Cyvento server.
CNAME Record May be used for subdomains such as www or other domain aliases.
SSL / HTTPS Helps visitors access your blog securely after domain routing is ready.
No Domain Yet?

You can still start.

If you do not own a domain yet, you can still request setup. We can help you understand what kind of domain to choose before your blog goes live.
